The course will be either course ‘B’ or ‘C’. The start will be between an orange flag on the RC boat and the WNR red buoy.  Marks of the course are R20 (Nassau Point) and R22 (South Race).  Course ‘B’ is sailed counter-clockwise; ‘C’ is the same course only sailed clockwise.  Both courses measure 6.5NM.

This race is a pursuit race (“Jackrabbit”) in which boats start at a time assigned in accordance with their PHRF ratings so that, in theory, they should all reach the finish line together.

Specific start times for each of the boats most likely to be participating will be sent out ahead of race day and posted on the PBSA Website.

Warning will be at 6.00pm. The start will be at 6.05pm.   The first boat to start no earlier than 6:05 pm will be the boat with the highest rating number. Any boat starting before her assigned start time will be hailed by the RC on VHF 71 and must restart.

The Race Committee will also be available to confirm start times for each boat.

Boats must check in with the RC before ~5.30pm and declare whether they are sailing to their Cruising rating or their Spinnaker rating. If a boat participates on the day and was not included in the list already sent out, the RC will provide a start time based on rating.

Post Race Party - 7:30 PM

Tom Samuels & Nancy Steelman have kindly agreed to host the post-race party.  Many of you know them and where they live.  If not, please park on Fanning Road in New Suffolk and follow the crowds. The barn is midway down Fanning Road in the stand of trees to the south.
