Racing

The Peconic Bay Sailing Association organizes many racing events during the sailing season. All participants are welcomed. PBSA membership is encouraged, but not required, but some races have fees. See the calendar below for the full list of races. Racing documents and charts are on our series page.

New Suffolk Series

The New Suffolk Series is an eight race Series sailed on Peconic Bay off New Suffolk, NY. The Peconic Bay Sailing Association is the Organizing Authority for all races except July 4th Race and the Fisher Cup. PBSA invites all sailors to participate in the New Suffolk Series. Scoring for all races is done using PHRF of Eastern Long Island ratings. See the series page for details about fees, courses and additional notes.

Antigua-Barbuda Hamptons Challenge

The Antigua & Barbuda Hamptons Challenge is an annual sailing race held in Noyack Bay, Long Island, organized by the PBSA and sponsored by the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Board. Top prize: an all-expenses-paid trip for the winning captain and crew to compete in Antigua Sailing Week.

Whitebread

The Whitebread race around Shelter Island, now in its third decade, attracts competitors from all over the region.

Wednesday Night Races

The Wednesday night races are not a PBSA-organized event, but are a popular mid-week tradition for sailors and shore-side spectators alike.
