The Aug 7,8,9 Rendezvous on the Connecticut River Essex Island Marina is still planned to proceed! The Marina is open to for docking reservations. Mention you are with PBSA and they will group us together in the North West section of the docks, as in the past.
Essex Island Marina has opened up the Picnic area for use, with 'standard' Covid19 precautions: social distancing and masks; meaning we may use that area, as we have in the past, per the compliance guidelines.
The pool limits users to 35 and the chairs are spaced for 'social distancing'.
Mask usage is expected traversing the docks.
We suggest you make your reservation now as there is little down side to doing so! If you want to cancel 72 hours in advance of the scheduled arrival date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.
Reservations: Reservations can be made by phone (860-767-2483) M-F 8-4 pm or online (https://dockwa.com/manage/vgc156-safe-harbor-essex-island-marina/dashboard). In either case, please make sure to clearly state or write that you are with PBSA (online there is a spot for notes, please add the information there). Any additional requests must be also included in the reservation when the reservation is created. We will make a dock plan to accommodate PBSA in D Dock area. We will do our best to accommodate all of the reservation requests based on a first come, first serve basis (or, in other words, based on first reservations made). Space in D Dock is limited (we rent this area, so unless a member is leaving for the weekend, the space is limited), so it is recommended to make reservations ASAP.
Deposit: The reservation deposit is due upon creation of reservation. The deposit is the first night’s dockage $4.50/ft + electric + tax (electric = $12.50/30 amp; $25.00/50 amp). We take all major credit cards. Please have your credit card ready when you call!
Cancellation Policy: You may receive a full refund of your deposit if the reservation is cancelled more than 72 hours in advance of the scheduled arrival date.
- If the reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be forfeited.
- Guests who fail to cancel their reservation before 24 hours of arrival will be charged for the full reserved stay at normal transient rates.
Weather Policy: Cancellations due to weather will only be entitled to a full refund of the deposit if there is a NOAA Small Craft Advisory posted for the area in which the marina is located on the expected date of arrival.
