On Wednesday October 13 starting at 5:30 p.m. all members/crew/guests are invited to gather at McCall's Winery for some sunset wine sipping and (insert drum roll) the annoucements by the Race Committee of the 2021 season results for the races of our PBSA New Suffolk Series which are scored.
This is a new approach. We are uncertain of our ability to host our traditional Holiday Dinner at which awards typically are presented. Alas, on October 13 we will NOT have the actual awards to present due to production timing constraints but we WILL be able to make public the much anticipated seasonal rankings of our participants. If your lights are dimming this week it's because the PBSA super computer is cranking away on the calculations.
The physical awards will be distributed later: at the Holiday Dinner, if there is one, or by some other means.
If you're not a racer, come for the wine and the camaraderie. We'll remain until 7:00 p.m. by which time it will be dark (sad).
Depending on the group size we may be able to proceed rain or shine. Details will be updated depending on the forecast.
No beverages may be brought to this event. McCall's wines will be available for purchase by the glass or by the bottle. Cheese plates also will be available. Plan your dinner elsewhere for before or after. Fully vaccinated attendees are strongly preferred. If not fully vaccinated, masks are mandatory.
